developed. She discovered her hidden talent of drawing when she had to choose a talent at her middle school in Park Slope, M.S. 51. She chose art! The first day of school, Mr. Hornberger, her art talent teacher, asked the entire class to choose a book, and try to draw out something they see from the book. Kayla chose a book with cartoon illustrations, and chose a drawing of a dog stepping on his droopy ear. She duplicated the illustration onto her sketchbook and realized she was better at drawing than she had thought. She attended Hunter college for nursing and moved away from her passion for art. While working at Peloton, her co-workers and manager noticed her love for sketching and encouraged her to follow the passion she really loved. For the past few years, Kayla has been working on completing her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Communication Design from New York City College of Technology. She enjoys sketching, digital art, painting, and hand-lettering. She has also customized items for her clients and made logos.
